Groups that work together: introducing Collaboration

Groups rarely live alone. A photographers' group works with a wedding planners' group. A school group needs updates from the parents' committee. Until now, sharing between them meant forwarding messages and losing who sent what. Today we are introducing Collaboration.

Send a post to a partner group: The Lead Admin of a group can send a post to another group. The admins of that group get a request and decide whether to approve it. Nothing is posted without their approval.

Always know where a post came from: A collaboration post shows the photos of both groups together. Tap them to see which group sent it, who sent it, when it was sent and who approved it.

Join in one tap: Like what you see? Tap the sending group's name to open it. If the group needs admin approval, Vartix sends a join request for you.

Stay in control: To keep groups free of spam, a group can send to two groups at a time and two times a day. The sender can cancel a request before it is approved, and everyone involved gets a notification when a request is approved or declined.

Did you know?

  • The red dot on the group menu tells admins when a collaboration request is waiting.
  • You can review all requests, sent and received, in the group's Activity screen.
